Yeah brother,
That 2
weeks.... That 2 Japanese died after reaching EBC in their sleep....
A Nepalese guide
died from rock fall at chola pass
A Malaysian,
49yrs died 3 days before EBC...a friend of my friends...in different team
Many with AMS
and other sickness....
EBC is no easy
meat for some...
And yes,
quite a few had to helicopter down...as oxygen level in blood is less
than 50 %...down fast
Or die...that
is what my fiends had to pay for....fell from horse twice...USD600 for
oxygen given at Periche.
I think it was
USD400 for the horse and whatever for Porter to carry the other down to
Periche in Basket.
Can write a
book lah....

Hi Joseph,
Oh
man...choppered down? that's hefty price to pay, man... No wonder I heard
many chopper flew in and out that whole week...
Yep, that's
what occured in my mind when I had difficulty to breath, I know that's
normal at that altitude and it's not even considered AMS yet ;)), and I
decided to abandon it as I saw quite a few people being carried down by
horse and porter, so I don't want to end up the same....
I saw 2
japanese died as well...so it make me more determine to stop trying...
maybe I'll do
it again next time...
BTW, congrats
on ur
achievement, you're da man!
Keep in touch!

Hi Radzi,
I heard about
your AMS. My 2 friends in KC leong group also got AMS...more severe...had
to helicopter down
To Katmandu...RM 11,000
each...
One never know
hwy it happen...just have to be more fit, alert and trek slowly...that
helps....
You are
young...still can try again...I am 57 yrs this weekend...so I am
lucky to make it..cheers

Hi Joseph,
Well, my original
plan is to go to EBC, but I got the AMS attack, so I cancel my plan, just
don't wanna take risk... :)
Yep, EBC will
always be there, so hope I can make it next time....
Take care,
sir..
