Travel: Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi, Malaysia

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

To begin the new year of 2010, we headed to Bukit Tinggi, Malaysia, where we’re looking for something different. Well, it’s not the 1st time we were there, but my wife just love the beef steak there, so we decided to have a quick vacation to Colmar Tropicale. Well, it’s just an hour drive from Shah Alam, so should not be a problem.

Being in the plane almost 70% of my time, this song always thump into my ears, and I’ve to admit it, it’s one of the best song ever created to promote Malaysia as a tourist destination. Love the voice of the singer too..
Congrats to her for creatively composed such a lovely song!

Bali: 24th - 28th May 2009

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

img_8876.JPGWell, just came back from Bali, again, on company trip. Mmm…Bali, a place most people wish to be, at least once. I have to agree, it is a place to be, as there’re so many thing to see, too many things to do… (sound like a TV commercial…hehe..)

It’s actually mainly for our customer to get together, discussing among themselves about issues and updating themselves, while having fun! Of course, we have to know how to get ourselves around…! I had a chance to just relax myself, strolling down the beach and watch a ‘Kecak Dance’ (fire dance), among things you should see if you come to Bali! It’s also a great place to take photos, watching the sunrise and sunset by the beach… Not to mentioned the hospitality of the Balinese people!

military2_armyparatrooper_photo_01_dp.jpgThe following is the military’s quick survival reference when soldiers find themselves behind enemy lines. But these same skills are highly relevant for civilian survival in the wilderness.

Saigon: Shooting Ak47 and M16 with LIVE ammo!!

Friday, November 28th, 2008

img_3453_800x533.jpgThis is the videos of my 1st experience shooting the AK47 and M16 with live ammunition, when I was in Saigon, Vietnam in Nov 2008. Sadly the videos was a short one as most pics were captured on a camera. Nevertheless it was an awesome experience and I will definitely do it again if I have a chance!

Here’s the complete pics of my adventure in Saigon, Vietnam. (Note: It will be VERY slow the 1st time you view it, but it will be perfectly fast after a while, as Windows save the cache in, even after you open it many weeks later…You might require ‘flashplayer’ to play this, which you can download from here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=DXLUJ)

Saigon, Vietnam:23rd - 27th Nov 2008

Friday, November 28th, 2008

vn.gifI’m back in Vietnam, this time on business trip for a few days. It’s been a year since the last time I was here, where we climbed the Fansipan Mountain. More, I’m here in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh city), not in Hanoi as before, which looks to me a lot different and ‘modern’ as compared to the capital city of Hanoi. Well, this probably due to ‘foreign influence’ particularly American and French, who has been in many years invading NAM politically until the vietnam war ended in 1976.

Vietnam had also progressively improve themselves economically, due to the fact that they have changed their economic policy towards capitalism, even the country are still being ruled by one single communist party. Seems that this concept has been well accepted by the citizens based on my own discussion with few of them, due to the fact that those who work harder will gain more… My personal worry is that this also means that those who are not fast enough, will be left behind as shown in many countries who has the same economic policy…there’s always pro and con I would say….

Manila: 13th - 17th October 2008

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

Hi,
Again, I’m back in Manila, one of my favorite city. This time it’s just a short trip and will have a meeting with few customers before goin’ back home. Nothing fancy to talk about, just a few meeting and at the point of writing this, I haven’t been to anywhere yet. Probably I will walk around and look for something interesting later, well, AIRSOFT! of course…

_44269376_manila_hotel_map416.gifThis time I’m staying in Peninsula Hotel, Manila, one of the premier hotel here in Manila. It is located on the corner of Ayala Avenue and Makati Avenue in in the central business district of Makati City, in Metro Manila. It is located also in Barangay Urdaneta. This hotel is part of The Peninsula Hotels chain based in Hong Kong and is the first hotel of that chain outside of the Chinese territory. The Peninsula asserted itself as the “Jewel in the Capital’s Crown”.

Jakarta: 9 - 14th June 2008

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

I’m back in Jakarta for a week, as it’s been quite some times since the last time I was here. Nothing much changes though, except that now I’ve changes the hotel, this time to Hotel Mulia, located in Senayan area, known as a prominent business centre.. Nice hotel though as I guess it’s rated as a 5 star.. The only drawback is maybe the choice of eating places is not a walking distance like Mahakam, as you need to take a cab to get to e.g. Senayan City for a nice dinner. Overall it’s a nice place to stay, and offer a lot of entertainments for those who are seeking for one..

More of what happens the whole, later…

Manila: 18 - 22 Feb 2008

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

ph.gifI was back in Manila after 2 years. Well, it feel good to be back, esp when the 1st 2 trips I had before was a short one, not much time to move around. Not this time, I had slotted a few short visit and with a friend who company me, it was fun!

A bit about Manila:
The City of Manila (Filipino: Lungsod ng Maynila), or simply Manila, is the capital of the Philippines and one of the cities that make up the greater metropolitan area of Metro Manila. Manila is the center of government in the country and one of the central hubs of a thriving metropolitan area home to over 14 million people. It is located on the shores of Manila Bay just west of the geographical center of Metro Manila, also known as the National Capital Region (NCR), which lies on an isthmus between Manila Bay and Laguna de Bay in southern Luzon. The city is one of 17 cities and municipalities which form the metropolitan area.

Cairns, Australia: 17 - 22 Nov 2007, Part 1

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

Hi there,

Sorry for not updating the blog for quite sometimes. Well, I’ve been away for a seminar in Cairns, to be precise, Port Douglas. It was my first time there, so everything is pretty new to me.

I always start my story of the place I went with some background information, as to ensure that I added an info to my own knowledge everytime I went to some places, so here it is…

About Port Douglas Australia
p_map-australia.gifThe charming village of Port Douglas is located 60km north of Cairns International Airport, in Tropical North Queensland Australia. The drive north from Cairns on the Captain Cook Highway has fantastic coastal scenery.

Jakarta, Indonesia - Part 1: Introduction

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

Hi,

I’m back in Jakarta, a metropolitan city, after quite a while.. The last time I was here was 9 months ago. Honestly, I love to be back here, probably because the journey just take 2 hours from KLIA to Sukarno-Hatta airport. I had a smooth entering process yesterday, well, unlike the previous trip where I had a small hiccups. Another reason is, it does feel at home, as Malaysian and Indonesion are alike, well, as a matter a fact, most Malaysians were from Indonesia anyway, so we are like brothers… ;)

This time I’m with friends, so it’s more fun. We had dinner together, more about that later…
Here’s something about Indonesia…
