Sunday, February 13th, 2011

I’m back in Singapore for a week, a pretty much the same business. As always brought my camera anyway I go (rule#1 :), but too lazy to take photo. Takde kaki la bro..however, to my surprise, the local collegues (Australian, Malaysian) who work in Singapore, are actually a DSLR owner themselves..! Well, we setup a plan for a quick outing to Marina Bay, for a night shot…
Here’re the results…! Enjoy!

Travel: Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi, Malaysia

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

To begin the new year of 2010, we headed to Bukit Tinggi, Malaysia, where we’re looking for something different. Well, it’s not the 1st time we were there, but my wife just love the beef steak there, so we decided to have a quick vacation to Colmar Tropicale. Well, it’s just an hour drive from Shah Alam, so should not be a problem.

Bali: 24th - 28th May 2009

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

img_8876.JPGWell, just came back from Bali, again, on company trip. Mmm…Bali, a place most people wish to be, at least once. I have to agree, it is a place to be, as there’re so many thing to see, too many things to do… (sound like a TV commercial…hehe..)

It’s actually mainly for our customer to get together, discussing among themselves about issues and updating themselves, while having fun! Of course, we have to know how to get ourselves around…! I had a chance to just relax myself, strolling down the beach and watch a ‘Kecak Dance’ (fire dance), among things you should see if you come to Bali! It’s also a great place to take photos, watching the sunrise and sunset by the beach… Not to mentioned the hospitality of the Balinese people!

Tool: Gallery - Photo Management System

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

ps_img_5627_512x768.jpgI’ve snapped a lot of pictures, and now I’m looking for a best way to keep and store all the pics. Web is always the best way to do this, and we need to have a tool to help us to arrange, update and display it. Done a quick search and found this really good PMS tool, called ‘Gallery’. Gallery gives you an intuitive way to blend photo management seamlessly into your own website whether you’re running a small personal site or a large community site.

The best part is, it is FREE. (free is always good, isn’t it?)

Malaysian Armed Forces Open Day

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

ad_seal3.jpgMmm…this is something I shouldn’t missed. With that, me and friend headed towards ‘Dataran Merdeka’ where this was held on 31st Jan 2009. Well, I would say, this is not new, I remember they had it many times before, but it’s the 1st time I went myself.

Briefly, there’s nothing much new thing to see, except that you have a chance to be up close and personal with the officers, be it regular infantry soldier or special forces (Gerakhas, PASKAL, PASKAU etc). It was fun to get a static ride on the APC, tank (?) and jeep. Chances to get hold on metal M4, M16, SMG, Barret Sniper rifles etc is a good opp esp for 1st timer. One thing though, I doubt they show all the latest and best arsenal in their inventory for obvious reason!

My 1st HDR project

Monday, January 5th, 2009

img_1622_3_4_1024x682.jpgThanks to my buddy, Zat, who introduced me to HDR concept about 2 months ago. I know this concept has been around for many years, but I just have time to start working on it last weekend.

I use photomatix to generate the HDR photos, but I have yet to work on photoshop on tweaking the pics further. I’m sure you’ve seen many diff HDR photos on the net, including the never-ending debate about ‘genuinity’ of HDR concepts.

My new toy!! - Canon EOS 450D

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

canon450d.jpgFinally I got my new toy, actually it’s been a few weeks since I got it, but I’ve delayed any writeup about it for few reasons; but for most; I’m just too lazy to write it up, coz I’m busy shooting pictures!!

1st of all, Here’s the funny part, I walked into a shop with an idea to get Olympus smallest DSLR,( that’s the very reason why I hate SLR camera, but love the result of it. ) I went in and out to few shops and end up with this particular one. The seller were very informative and gave me a detail infos about various models and in the end I shortlisted my choice to only 2 models; Nikon and Canon.
