Travel: Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi, Malaysia

To begin the new year of 2010, we headed to Bukit Tinggi, Malaysia, where we’re looking for something different. Well, it’s not the 1st time we were there, but my wife just love the beef steak there, so we decided to have a quick vacation to Colmar Tropicale. Well, it’s just an hour drive from Shah Alam, so should not be a problem.

Booking was made via the net approx 3 weeks before, and it was an easy process. We stayed for just a night, in a suite, which cost us RM308.00/night.
Unfortunately it was a rainy day, and the sky was gloomy, which give a photo shoot activity quite a challenge. We spent most of the time around the colmar village, and decided not to go to japanese garden n botanical garden due to the bad weather. (We’ve been there before, with a better weather..)

The Colmar Tropicale in Berjaya Hills is a unique resort that sits 2,600 feet above sea-level on pristine highlands. The first and only one of its kind in Malaysia, the Colmar Tropicale is inspired by the 16th Century Colmar Village in Alsace, France, while retaining the authenticity and European atmosphere of its counterpart. Indulge in a truly continental French experience in Colmar Tropicale, alongside beautiful architecture and historically-designed landmarks that will bring you a step back in time.

Whether it’s on your own or with family and friends, the Colmar Tropicale has a host of activities to enjoy. Indulge in cigars at the Le Vin Wine & Cigar Bar or be amazed by the lively street and exotic stage performances from local and foreign artistes.

For those into photography, the Colmar Tropicale has many sights for shutterbugs to make a snapshot; the castle drawbridge being a particular favourite. Watch swans paddling lazily around the moat, relax by the square’s fountain, make a wish at the wishing well, gaze at the cuckoo clock tower (designed after the Riquewihr Tower in France) or climb the tower for a panoramic sight of the entire resort.

For the rest of the story, the pictures here can explain more!! hehe…: COLMAR TROPICALE
